Shakuhachi and bansuri bamboo flutes are central to traditional Japanese and Indian meditative music. SPIRIT of BAMBOO creates a new contemporary tradition when combined with the healing tones of the Rhodes electric piano, acoustic grand piano and ambient synthesizer soundscapes.
The first track embodies some of the samurai shakuhachi tradition for a more energetic mix. The rest of the album flows gently into deeper resonances.
Argentinian sound healer and bamboo flute master Jorge Alfano joins American sound healer and keyboard master Steven Halpern to create a timeless tonal tapestry that harmonizes body, mind and soul.
Subtle brainwave synchronizing frequencies in the deep theta range complement the music and provide you with multi-modal soundtrack for meditation, relaxation and massage.
